NCC 2025 Commercial Energy Efficiency

NCC 2025 Volume One Preview Draft signals major commercial energy efficiency changes by rewriting Section J Performance Requirements to explicitly include operational greenhouse gas emissions and introducing “near zero operational greenhouse gas emissions” language. While adoption dates are as yet unknown, design teams should expect tighter Section J outcomes, earlier coordination requirements, and renewables becoming a practical necessity.
